As He walked the earth, the Ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ brought comfort and restoration to those who mourned, healing to those who were sick, He fed those who were
hungry, forgave the erring, and showed great compassion to those who were despised; then He said to us: “In as much as you do this to the least of these, you do it unto me” Our mandate is clear. We must do as Jesus did.
The needs around us are great. As the economic recession grips the world, vulnerability of nations such as ours becomes starkly exposed. Many people around us are suffering. Therefore, perhaps this year, more than ever,we need the help of everyone to give to our Annual Harvest Ingathering initiative. This is one of the means by which we are able to help to alleviate the burdens on some very needy persons.
Last year your generosity gave us the opportunity to assist several persons with housing, several thousand with food, temporary shelter, education and clothing. The needs are even greater this year. We are depending on you to be even more liberal in your giving this time so that more persons will benefit.
